Dear friends of VETERAMA,
We are very sorry to have to give you this news, but we believe that as the organiser of such a big event we have a serious responsibility, in particular with regard to our exhibitors and visitors as well as to our staff and all service providers.
More than a third of those attending Veterama travel here from abroad. In some cases they come from what are now considered risk countries and areas.
At least half of all those who come to Veterama are in what is considered to be the “at risk” age group.
So far there are no clear statements from the authorities responsible for approving this major event, except that major events are prohibited up to and including 31.12.2020. But even if we were to obtain a permit for the event, with all the associated conditions, Veterama would still not be feasible from the current perspective.
Veterama with protective masks could be possible, we already have design templates…
Veterama with minimum distances?
Veterama with delimited exhibitor spaces?
Veterama with a limited number of visitors?
No! We would lose the happy character of the Veterama have been building together since 1975.
Veterama has always been the ICONIC EVENT of the gearhead scene and that’s what Veterama should remain. Informal, cheerful and unique.
We hope that next year we will have been able to put this terribly difficult and stressful coronavirus pandemic behind us and maybe we will even be able to add an extra summer date for two unusual Veterama events to our Veterama diary.
Stay healthy and despite this news, if you can, stay positive for our future together.
All the best,
The Seidel family
